Both rivers are among the last wild rivers in Europe. This means that the riverbed is moving from year to year. This crates extraordinary riverbanks, with lots of islands, side arms, turns and bends. During this canoe week will explore the fantastic nature around the Allier and the Loire. We’ll pass small towns and villages where we’ll take a glimpse of the art, architecture, and heritage of the region.
We’ll sleep in tents (first and last night on campgrounds, the other days along the river). We’ll be cooking our meals together on a stove or on a campfire.
